Smart charging consultancy Versinetic will unveil a new software stack solution at Traffex to support charging infrastructure that complies with the ISO 15118 protocol.
Developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the protocol stipulates 'greater interoperability between charging networks' as it specifies the communication methods and information that is exchanged between the vehicle and the charging station.
Dunstan Power, managing director at Versinetic, said: 'Accommodating ISO 15118 in our products is another part of Versinetic’s roadmap to provide high quality products that play an integral part in the electrification of our roads.
'We strive to bring expertise and flexibility with our modular EV charging products that reduce time to market for EV charging providers and enable them to ensure their EV chargers are future- proofed.'
Versinetic’s new ISO 15118 software stack is supplied as a licensed product as part of the consultancy’s modular EV charger solutions.
The software runs on Versinetic’s MantaRay control board, which supports both AC charge points and DC chargers.
Versinetic will also be launching a new whitepaper at Traffex titled Accelerating EV Adoption and Infrastructure.
The report provides identifies what needs to happen for the UK to fulfil its Paris Agreement Target Policies to ensure all new vehicles sold by 2030 will be electric.
Mr Power will be speaking at Traffex on the EV Infrastructure Theatre, at 12:35pm on 6 June, discussing the pressing global issues facing the EV charging industry today.
Versinetic will be on stand F41 at Traffex, which runs from 6-8 June at the NEC Birmingham.
