SRL Traffic Systems will launch a series of new products at Traffex next week, as well as a special offer just for delegates.
Customers signing up to a long-term hire contract for SRL's Solar PLUS signals at the show will be offered free battery exchange during July and August.
The new products from Europe’s largest manufacturer and supplier of mobile intelligent transport system (ITS) solutions, are designed to enable customers to 'increase the protection of workers while cost-effectively promoting the safe and efficient flow of traffic around roadworks'.
On show at Traffex will be the Remotely Operated Stop Go (ROSGO) System [pictured above] and Euro Remote Control (ERC), alongside SRL’s newly enhanced Urban64 intelligent traffic signal control system.
The portable wireless ROSGO is possibly unique in that it can be easily deployed and operated by a single person from a location of safety up to 200m away; its 24kg base is the lightest available and facilitates a one-person lift.
The 900mm diameter signs may be used as part of an integrated system comprising up to four units, making it capable of managing four-way stop/go sites.
SRL’s chief executive officer, Adrian Murphy, said: 'Our new and enhanced solutions are testament to this dedication, and we look forward to introducing our customers to them at Traffex.'
Also on SRL's Traffex stand (D2) will be the new hand-held Euro Remote Control, allowing safer, long-distance control of SRL’s Eurolight portable traffic signals in a range of exceptional scenarios - such as those involving waterways, train crossings or slow-moving vehicles.
The device is thought to be the first on the market to feature feedback LEDs, confirming phase settings from a 300m distance.
The company’s Urban64 intelligent temporary traffic control system for the coordination of multi-directional flows of traffic and pedestrians has been enhanced with the introduction of an extendable pole on which the signals are mounted.
Previously constructed on site, lights incorporating the new structure are built off site, before being transported to their destination, where the poles are swiftly extended to full height.
SRL's flagship Urban64 temporary traffic light solution product was originally mounted on solid concrete bases. It now features a concrete-filled steel box on four adjustable legs.
The company estimates they can be installed up to 30% more quickly than the originals.
Traffex takes place from 6-8 June at the Birmingham NEC.
