WJ have purchased Euromark GB – the road marking division of Eurovia UK.
From 1 September 2015 Euromark will be fully integrated into the existing WJ businesses providing long-term stability and security for more than 450 employees within the enlarged group.
Euromark services long-term contracts for road markings to a national client base from the south of England to Scotland. The company has its own management team, services and road marking operatives.
The acquisition will also provide WJ with a further thermoplastic production facility based in Bradford.
WJ group managing director Wayne Johnston (pictured left) said: “This is good news for all with continued investment in research and development we can drive innovation and radically change the road marking industry to the benefit of all employed in the sector, our clients, road users and the communities within which we work.”
Eurovia UK is one of the leading service providers of highway maintenance to the UK local authority market.
Chief executive officer Scott Wardrop added: “This was a strategic decision for us to ensure even greater flexibility and programme delivery of road markings for our clients. We have been collaborating with WJ for some time and feel confident that the new arrangement will provide us with an effective and reliable service locally and nationally.”
