The online media outlet will also help share news and announcements related to this year’s Highways Magazine Excellence Awards (HMEA).
Alad Ltd is the owner and publisher of Highways Magazine – which also owns the Excellence Awards and Highways SIB events.
Managing director Neil Levett said: “I am delighted that HighwaysIndustry.com will cover the Highways Magazine Excellence Awards 2016. These are industry respected awards which have been running for 13 years now and they are judged by leading practitioners in the industry. Just because the event is organised by Highways Magazine doesn’t mean that other media outlets can’t join and celebrate the successes of the shortlisted and winning entrants. Rather, we would welcome their attendance and would encourage them to talk to us about similar agreements as World Highways and ITS International have.
“Building on this theme, HighwaysIndustry.com will act as a media partner for this year’s Highways SIB event. This partnership will add value to the event with exhibitors participation in the event given increased coverage via an additional online news outlet. HighwaysIndustry.com has its own unique position in the marketplace so I’m pleased that they’ve agreed to help us with promotion and pre-event coverage of our biennial event Highways SIB (Seeing is Believing), as we broaden the appeal and exhibitor base of this event.
“Now that SIB has come of age and isn’t a launch or fledgling event it is time for the event to generate media relationships that mirror the fantastic relationship that Highways Magazine enjoys with established events such as Traffex and Intertraffic.
“As with the Highways Magazine Excellence Awards agreement, all other media outlets would be welcome to enter into similar relationships for SIB and I would actively welcome such discussions with them.”
This year’s Highways Magazine Excellence Awards will take place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London on 6 October. Companies can now submit their entries using the online form, and upload all supporting documentation, via the dedicated website at www.hmea.co.uk.
Upon the announcement, HighwaysIndustry.com Director Marc Hobbins commented:
“We’re really pleased to support the companies doing good things in the industry – and Highways SIB is one of them. Any event which gives companies the opportunity to display their products and services, as well as interact and engage with their audiences is a positive all round. We’ve lent our support and given our backing to a number of events over the last few years, so we’re delighted to be able to offer this same support to Neil and his team for SIB.”
Highways SIB is Europe’s only event for indoor showcasing of highway products as well as outdoor demonstrations in all lighting condition. This year’s event is taking place from 9-10 November at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire.
