Fresh from winning a £40m Highways England contract, Kier Highways is exhibiting at Traffex for the first time this year and is looking to use the event to push boundaries and explore the latest innovations in the industry.
Traffex 2017, Europe’s largest international traffic management, road safety and highways maintenance exhibition takes place from 4 to 6 April at the NEC, Birmingham and will showcase over 350 exhibitors.
Dave Wright, executive director, Kier Highways, explained why next week’s event is important to the company. He said, “It is only at events like Traffex where the entire industry comes together – clients and providers.
“Having a presence at Traffex is fundamental as it provides the opportunity for us to showcase exactly what we are capable of and also the chance to learn from our peers, clients and supply chain partners.
‘It provides us with the right sort of forum where we can hold the “what if…” discussions with our clients and suppliers to push the boundaries and explore new industry innovations.’
Last month, Highways England awarded the firm a £40m design contract as part of new delivery arrangements in the South West.
The contract will run for up to five years and see Kier taking design briefs and turning them into “well-defined packages of work”.
