The organiser of Intertraffic Amsterdam says the 2016 show will be the biggest ever, with more than 800 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors.
At the Amsterdam RAI, Intertraffic Worldwide Events Managing Director Richard Butter told Highways magazine reporter Paul Hutton that there people from 165 different countries are represented at the event.
He added that the event covers road safety, parking, infrastructure, traffic management and smart mobility, and explained that, while people are getting very excited about new technology, traditional road maintenance is vital in the future, “there is a saying going on at the show – ‘smarter cars need better roads,’ so an autonomous cars only work when the road marking is very good. ”
